Under the umbrella of a transdisciplinary approach – the combination of interdisciplinary, international and intersectoral collaboration – the integration of different types of knowledge is enabled. Through joint activities inspired by co-production and individual secondments, the DASH project establishes a strong learning network. Meeting, workshops and training, secondments, conferences, summer schools and exhibitions are the DASH tools of learning network.
In May 2025, DASH’ers met for the annual project thematic workshop. Through previous meetings and secondments, we have gotten to know each other well which provides the ground for in-depth, engaging discussions and fun times. The German hosts had prepared a busy and extremely interesting five-day program in Stuttgart and Tübingen.
We would be delighted to have you join us for the Symposium on social and affordable housing next week on 19 May from 9h30-10h30 and 21 May from 9h30-12h30 that is organised in the framework of the DASH thematic workshop 2025. We are excited to welcome researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world, and we look forward to engaging and thought-provoking discussions.

GAIURB’s DASH team – Carla Pires, Sofia Morais, Ana Azevedo, and Joana Azevedo – during two weeks in November and December 2024, conducted its secondment to Denmark, focusing on Copenhagen's innovative housing strategies. This immersive experience provided a deep insight into Denmark's progressive approach to housing policies and urban planning.
After Denmark in 2023 and Portugal in 2024, the annual DASH thematic workshop 2025 will take place in Germany from 19 to 23 May. Make sure to put these dates in your calendars
